Tesla has shared its roadmap for the remainder of 2024 and early 2025, indicating that Full Self-Driving (FSD) could become available in Europe and China in the first quarter of next year, pending approval from local regulators. Elon Musk previously anticipated regulatory clearance by year-end. According to The Wall Street Journal, China has tentatively approved the launch of Tesla's FSD software, though the status with European Union regulators remains unclear.
Musk has also expressed hopes that FSD will be approved in Right-Hand Drive (RHD) markets like the UK, Hong Kong, and Macau by the end of the first quarter or early second quarter of next year. Additionally, Tesla plans to make FSD available for Cybertrucks later this month, alongside the introduction of Autopark. In October, Tesla will add unpark, park, and reverse functions to the FSD suite. The FSD software is available for purchase in the US at $8,000 or via a $99-per-month subscription for its semi-autonomous features.
